Had To Go Separate Ways
Despite how happy they had been to be together, it seemed that John and Kyle would have to part ways at some point. Even though they were disappointed that they had to part ways, they had gained so much from their short but impactful reunion. Furthermore, there was a certain assurance that they will see one other soon, a sensation that Kyle felt confident in. In order to visit the Smiths’ property as much as he could, John would travel out of his way to do so.

No matter how excitedly Kyle continued staring at him with his swishing tail and toothy grin, John couldn’t keep his grip on the reins for much longer. John’s former partner proceeded to lunge at him, attempting to embrace him and prevent him from leaving the scene of the crime. John couldn’t bring himself to separate from his best friend, who he cherished. It helped him to remind himself that Kyle had been placed in a loving family, knowing that the Smiths took excellent care of him and cherished him nearly as much as he did.
