Kyle was a great evidence gatherer who had a flair for discovering valuable facts for the inquiry. He was a fantastic teammate. This kind of training and talent is almost tough to unlearn, particularly in dogs. Kyle was a compassionate and sensitive creature who only used violence in severe circumstances, while his brother was cruel and merciless. To do so, the people he had promised his life to defend had to be in imminent danger. That same devotion would be used to defend the Smiths, his new family, if they were attacked.

Officer John must guide Kyle to become an outstanding and skilled police officer. Kyle would be trained in self-defense and assault techniques. Police canines are taught to locate criminals and smell out evidence to aid cops. All of the dogs in the force must be able to accomplish both duties well. Kyle would risk his life to protect his friend John and his family. Kyle would benefit from a human companion who could help him become a model service dog.
