It was impossible for John not to be moved by his old friend’s gesture when he learned that he had gone to such efforts to get another glimpse of his cherished companion’s face. Despite the fact that he had been robbed of valuable time, John remained unperturbed. But instead of complaining about the case, he was relieved to be back at work on it, despite the fact that it was a ridiculous one.
